New Designs for Teen Room.
The owner of Hotelicopper has been trying to create the world’s largest helicopter as well as the world’s first flying hotel by modifying a Soviet-made Mil V-12 since 2004. This massive flying machine features everything from room service and private entertainment systems to extras like yoga classes, tea garden, spa treatment, gaming and many others that someone would anticipate from a 5-star hotel. With the length of 42m and 14m of height, this giant aircraft can fly with a maximum weight of 232,870 lb. Maximum speed of this flying hotel is 255 km/h and expected cruising speed is 237 km/h. Berger Paint – Natural Colors
An innovative hoarding for Berger Paints where a live painter appeared to be extending the blue of the sky on to the hoarding itself. This was done by creating dramatic cut outs in the hoarding in the actual shape of the roller strokes.

On a backpacking trip across one of the dicier parts of Southeast Asia, I worried about being robbed; every other traveller I talked to had had something stolen from them, often while they were sleeping. So every night before going to sleep in my rented rooms, I spent ten minutes constructing a precariously balanced pyramid of empty beer bottles in front of the door, an improvised burglar alarm I hoped a thief would noisily topple upon entering.
I sure wish I'd had one of these, a Wedge Alarm. The diminutive device is easy to pack, fits under a door and lets out a shrieking alarm when tripped. Beats having to finish three to five beers before bedtime just to build a security system.

Blanket has oversized sleeves that let you eat, read, play games, or use your laptop, while snuggled in its toasty warmth.
The world’s only globe-shaped ethanol fireplace. It is a free-standing, chimney-free hearth on a foot that can be turned 360 degrees for optimal viewing angle and flexibility.

A magnifying glass added to shopping carts in my grocery store in Geneva. An interesting add-on for shoppers who may need this feature. Will help to perceive some details not easy to see.
It’s funny to see that while in some places shopping carts are enhanced with RFID reader, this shop has chosen another design direction to help its consumers

Water Fountain Digital Clock Displays the Flow of Time. Digital clocks may be the norm these days, but the Kanazawa Station Fountain Clock is a delightfully liquid variation on the theme. Kanazawa is a pleasant city of about a half-million situated on the coast of the Sea of Japan. Known in times past for its exquisite decorative artwork featuring precisely worked gold leaf, Kanazawa has a new claim to fame: its amazing digital fountain clock that displays the time using controlled fountains of water.

The latest upholstered sofa called the “Athena” features an integrated computer in it. You can use all functions like the home computer and can connect it with the multi-room systems to take care of media applications from email to watching TV from the comfort of a chair. The luxury though comes for an eye-popping price of approx. US$15,436, which seems like a bit over the top in these hard times. But, then this designer furniture is meant strictly for the elite of society.
With the snow coming down fast this time of year, we can’t help but dream of laying on the beach listening to our iPod and relaxing. But how to keep it charged? If we had this handy pair of designer sunglasses, we could keep our iPod or other iDevice fully charged while basking in the sun or walking around town. Designed by Hyun-Joong Kim and Kwang-Seok Jeong, these slick “Self-Energy Converting Sunglasses” feature dye solar cells that are integrated into their lenses. Although perhaps not as fun as using a yo-yo to charge your devices, this solar solution is probably a heck of a lot more practical and stylish to boot.
Jeong and Kim’s power-generating glasses are composed of a “cheap organic dye [that uses] nano technology [to provide] cheap but high energy efficiency.” The sunglass lenses can collect and convert enough energy from the sun to power small devices connected by a power jack at the back of the frame.
We expect to see solar panels integrated into more and more devices in the coming years. We’ve already seen photovoltaics used in bags, backpacks, lawnmowers, and cars, so these sunglasses are no surprise. As solar technology becomes more advanced and lightweight, sunglasses like these may even become the norm. It’s also a good thing that huge sunglasses are in style now, because that means there is more surface area for energy collection.
Ever seen those spy movies in which the Hero pulls out his cigarette-lighter and clicks the pictures and videos from the Villain's Premises. Ajoka's latest product is able to shoot video in VGA quality at 640 x 480 resolution in AVI format at 30 frames per second, with a microSD memory card slot that can hold up to 8GB of videos. The built-in lithium ion battery is able to last for half a dozen hours after being charged fully via USB. Your cover wont' be blown if someone asks you for a light though since it also works as a standard lighter, although the $150 price point might scare some people away.

Almost all the people are thinking about finding out new innovations. The new vehicle design by Christian Susana is a nice combination of car and a caravan camper. Christian has called it COLIM (Colors of Life in Motion), which might not win many points on looks department, but still is quite useful given the kind of flexibility it offers. Colim provides the advantage of detaching the front part if one does not have a usage for the home part. Design wise it reminds more of geometric shape, which one can say to be a welcome change from the regular designs, but the designer has really explored a possibility using different shapes which may pave way for better shaped cars.
